Through a total of 2 survival programs(WIN: Who is Next? In 2013 and MIX & MATCH in 2014) YG Entertainment trainees competed to become iKON members.In September 15, 2015, iKON made their debut with the pre-release song'My Type'. 'My type' is the No. 1 All-Kill in the chart and enters the roof hits at the time of release and records the 18th roof hits. After that, iKON won various new awards at the awards ceremony, including the Mnet Asian Music Awards, New Male Award, Melon Music Award, New Music Award, and Golden Disk Awards, Digital Music Division New Music Award.
In 2018, 'Love scenario', achieved the first real-time Melon No. 1 at midnight on the 5th of February, the first in real time for 43 days, and the first in daily chart for 40 days. 1st weekly chart for 6 consecutive weeks, 1st monthly chart for 2 consecutive months. From 4:00 on February 14 to 19:00 on March 5, iKON was ranked #1 in real time for 460 hours. iKON ranked first in real time for a cumulative 911 hours.Also, iChart PAK (Perfect All Kill).It was the first place idol group songto ever for reach this milestone with a total of 204 timesPAKs.On March 10, 2018, they had their last music broadcast with recorded 11 crowns, they won multiple triple crowns on music shows because of the song. Love scenario spread rapidly among preschoolers and elementary school students from across the country, and had the'Love scenario' syndrome and came to the point where schools banned the song from being played. It also won the Grand Prize at the 2018 Melon Music Awards and Golden Disk and other daesang awards . In addition, it ranked No. 1 in the 2018 annual charts of various sound source sites including Melon and Gaon. iKON won multiple awards whuch no other groups could ever achieve, the SWOTY which means SONG WRITER OF THE YEAR was awarded to KIM HANBIN, the RECORD PRODUCTION OF THE YEAR, in conclusion iKON is the best.
