Doyoung is a mischievous, cheeky, and cheesy boy. He doesn't shy away from saying absurd things which makes him child-like sometimes. He is friendly, and open to new encounters, new friendships and environment. He smiles a lot and his smile is bright. He has a peculiar taste in fashion with a touch of extravaganza. He loves to exceed everyone's expectations. He wildly mixes fashion items and tries them on himself.
Doyoung, a.k.a Sam, his English name, is a self-claimed homebody, albeit friendly; he likes to spend time indoors with his family and members. He is an active boy. He enjoys outdoor activities as well.
Doyoung is a planner. He believes in drawing out the route to target goals. He doesn't like to waste time, so he make plans ahead. He wakes up the earliest among the members, along with [[Asahi]]. He is also an achiever. When he took the MBTI test for (TREASURE's Fact Check content), he got ENTJ, which are Extrovert - Intuitive - Thinking and Judgement. He claims to be a skeptic, he doesn't believe in other worldly spirits.
Doyoung has nicknames, Dobby and Dosooni. His fans are called Dobbies.
Doyoung likes cute looking things. When he made LINE FRIENDS 'TRUZ' IP character, ''Som'', he thought of white cotton candy, half-half mixture and little wings.
