Maloi was one of 250 aspirants to undergo the 5-day boot camp, later going on to be selected as a trainee in ''Star Hunt Academy'' in early 2019. In October 2020, Maloi became one of the last 8 members of Star Hunt Academy Girl Trainees and was announced to officially become part of an idol group, BINI. The group officially debuted on June 11, 2021, with the release of their debut single ''Born to Win''.
