Red Velvet

' Red Velvet' (hangul: 레드벨벳) is a South-Korean girl group formed by S.M. Entertainment. They debuted on August 1, 2014, with the song "Happiness" and four members: Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, and Joy. On March 11, 2015, Yeri joined the group.

Red Velvet is unique for having two different themes for it songs and music videos, the red, which represents the group's bright, bold and abstract side and the velvet, which represents the toned down, elegant and mature side of the group.

WHAT DOES ReVeluv MEAN?

Reve (rêve) in ReVeluv means “dream” in French. The story behind the name is that the fans, us, make RED VELVET’s dreams come true, so in return, RED VELVET gave us their love.

“ReVeLuv” may have two meanings : the name being a combination of the words Red Velvet and Love, and a play on the words “Level Up!” when pronounced in Korean.
